If you're feeling overwhelmed parenting a child who is facing challenges then we are here to help.
With us, you don't just get the perspective of one practitioner, you get the expertise of our whole team, working as one to partner with you, to support your child.
That means psychologists, OT, speech & language therapists, family counsellors and paediatric physio's all gathered round to understand your child from all angles. We also have outreach to medical support when needed.
We don't come in with a fixed idea of what your child needs. We also know no-one knows your child better than you.

What are the basics we need to get right?
We offer a safe, non-judgemental space where your family are welcomed by people who understand. We are committed to partnering with you to recognise what particular challenges your child is facing and how best to help.
Infants & Pre-schoolers
This might look like difficulty meeting milestones for speech, movement, feeding or learning. They could also be showing sensory sensitivity and difficulty regulating their behaviour or emotions.
Children & Teens
This might look like potential neurodiversity, anxiety and depression.
We go back to basics, to look at everything that is happening. We get really curious about all the possible things that might be contributing to your child's challenges:
Once we have a holistic view of the things challenging your child we build a plan based on developmental science - asking ourselves "what are the basics we need to get right before the more complex interventions are going to land?"
Understand Your Child's Context
Our family co-ordinator will gather information on where your concerns are as a parent, the background of your child and any relevant information from your wider whānau or school / daycare etc.
Agree on Focus Areas
Our clinical team will review the pattern of information to determine which areas they should focus on when assessing your child. Our family co-ordinator will talk you through the 'why' behind our assessment plan.
Complete Your Child's Assessment
You and your child come and meet with the Clinical Lead for assessment, who will bring in different specialists depending on your child's focus areas. Assessment times will vary depending on your child's age and requirements. You will get a short debrief at the end of the assessment process and discuss next steps.
Put the Plan into Action
You will receive a comprehensive assessment report and suggested treatment plan. The PerVigeo team will contiune to work collaboratively to support your child as they develop.
